You guys what do you prefer between those three animation 2d legends

Mitsuo Iso , Norio Matsumoto , Yutaka Nakamura ?

I love those three XD

All of them are great.

Miyazaki's storyboards have the feeling of animation in them. Your mind fills in the movement when looking at them. (Or maybe it's just from knowing the films well?)

Kawajiri doesn't load :(

Matsumoto was the first animator I discovered. Nakamura was 2nd.
After that it was the likes of Imaishi, Yoshinari, Miyazaki, Iso and others.

I discovered mitsuo iso in first with EoE movie , i had a blast , was like a dream.

That shit was the best thing animated i've ever seen

After probably Matsumoto and then nakamura

nakamura did the last battle of sword of the stranger
A must see film just for that sequence.

Based Obari.

Don't you count Birdy S2 as a sakuga show? It was unbelievably constistent and had many standout scenes.

>>407

err...don't we?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-12 22:11

>>408
I'm sure we do.

>>407

sakugawiki a shit

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 4:59

Arasan's SSY cut was not bad, but I'm surprised Ishihama let him include shading.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 5:38

Aww shoot, no one's bothered to update the staff credits for Shinsekai Yori on ANN.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 6:37

>>407
Pretty sure someone just said it >>392

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 7:16

>>412

Why don't you update it yourself?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 8:32

>>414
I thought only ANN staff can update it? I can't read moonrunes anyway.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 8:38

>>415
Anyone can update as long as you register.
Though this leads to lots of mistakes in the Database since not everyone knows Japanese well enough.

re: Arasan's segment at the start of SSY#3
>dem Kanada-style effects
>I was thinking if I'm watching the right show because the first part looked really cheap and the art looked different
>I was wondering what the fuck was with the animation in the beginning.
>That sequence was so badass. Best assassination I've ever seen animated.
>That's how Jun Arai's animation is. He loves shading and is a Kanada-style animator, but the way he animates movement is kinda odd.
>It kinda gave off the feeling of an old history, which I guess was the intention.
>There was a LOT of animation in there, cheap is having a shot of two heads with mouth flaps talking for a minute, not badass assassination scenes.
>Shading? In Shinsekai Yori?
>It's like I'm watching 80's anime
>I'm pretty certain that opening sequence was made by ex-Gainax members.
>You mean madhouse? It looked like redline v2 to me.
>Looked more like typical Madhouse quality to me

Poor Arasan

Looks like its been a mixed reception.

So is Magi decently good to watch? Despite the amazing animation list, I can't watch something if its not good.

Also Kutsuna did the episode 2.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 10:50

It's a surprisingly decent shounen show since... well, FMA:B ?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 11:55

Ei Aoki directed the new SAO OP ! Tetsuya Takeuchi, Nozomu Abe, Yuu Yamashita are in the key animator list

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 12:18

"Damn it Arai, stop ruining my favorite currently airing anime."

Was what I expected to think, but his scene in Shinsekai Yori #3 was pretty cool.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 12:23

I wish Arasan animated Chu2koi

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 12:27

>>426

Oh no you don't.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 12:29

You can never have too much shading. Imagine, cute girls with the shading style of the 80's, it'll be the best of both worlds!

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 12:35

>>428

I'd rather have Imaishi do Chunibyou.

Though it does kinda make me curious. What if Arasan is AD and Kigami were to do a Key Animation?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 12:44

This is as close you'll get to Arasan on Chuunibyou
This metalic tin had a deep black shadow on it in all scenes: http://i.imgur.com/o4Tvy.jpg

>>430
The sister's ladle had some pretty heavy shading as well if I'm not mistaken.

More like Arasan mourning thread

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 13:22

Seriously.. What happened to Arasan's twitter?

Was he really bullied? I can't tell left from right anymore.

I wonder too what was the famous incident of arasan's twitter

Maybe a lot of people mocked him and his animations but i can't fins any link for that

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-13 15:04

>>434
All I know is that he closed it.
Honyaku said Arasan's last words before closing were "Everyone is a hypocrite on Twitter! I'm closing this down!"

Speculation was people were being hard on him about his "Wakame Shading" which is what his brand of shading is called.
