>Anyway watching the ED and seeing Rikka's sure dance I'm curious though about why won't they make another dance animation like Hare Hare Yukai?

>I know Yamakan did direct and create the storyboard for that ED but clearly they still have the talent to do so. I wonder what's holding them back. Clearly they showed us with K-ON that they can make performances like that again and the best thing is, they were all/mostly from scratch and not rotoscoped like the God Knows performance in Haruhi.

>I wonder why? Could it be that they just don't want to pry on Yamakan's brainchild(the one which made him famous) and possibly going in a possible confrontation against him?

Hmmm good point. I'd like to see them try it one more time.

Well Isihara did that little dance in Nichijou OP. It'll be cool to see something like that again.

I think it's really the case that they just don't want to step into a landmine called Yamakan.

He really is a wreck ever since he got sacked at KyoAni.

I have a gut feeling we'd be seeing that here. Ishihara did emphasize on surprises. It's only 2 episodes and out so far it's an entertaining ride.

Anyway seeing this show, they're really going all out. The quality of the original content and the extra concept are so far so good.

He really is a wreck ever since he got sacked at KyoAni.
Why do you say so?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-10 14:39

His attitude or his past tweets back then were really nonsensical and really just wreaking of bitterness. Not to mention when he underhandedly apologized for E8 during one his interviews even though he was probably no longer involved with the project. Basically he liked to stir shit.

Anyway let's leave it at that this might spiral to more off topic discussions.

Well, he's seen the studio he was kicked out with grow larger than anyone could have ever expected. I'm not sure if he was mentally stable to begin with, but his spiral into madness doesn't surprise me in the least.

Anyway, to stay on topic. The silly fight from chuu2koi 2: http://youtu.be/fSkpi1LXzuU

That materialization part was just so Munto it brings tears to my eyes. Finally they can use these stuffs again while being more comfortable in a much more safer zone.

Anything decent in Medaka Box S2? Or is Gainax really dead?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-10 17:11

>>251
Only read 2ch impressions but they were predictable. At least for the moment Gainax really is dead.

Does anyone know if their television show about a superhero bar got any attention? Toei made their own toku comedy at the same time which probably stole all their thunder. At least on /m/ I don't think anyone even knew it existed.

It took me a while to get used to it, but this is how I do things:
The Sakuga Wiki's search function is a little simplistic, so if you use it you have to wade through lots of, sometimes useless, stuff.

Since Chuu2 is popular, let's try and look for Taichi Ishidate. If you don't into moonrunes, then find him on ANN, copy paste the kanji for his name into the sakuga wiki's search box.

These are the results: http://www18.atwiki.jp/sakuga/?cmd=search&keyword=%E7%9F%B3%E7%AB%8B+%E5%A4%AA%E4%B8%80
As you can see, it just shows everything with that kanji, in what I presume is the Japanese alphabetical order. The actual page for him is way down.
http://puu.sh/1drbN - I've highlighted his name here (the last 4-5 links always search the entire wiki database on which the sakuga wiki is hosted, we don't want that)

An easier way is to just put his name into google and add 作画 as well, 9/10 times that well net you the correct page.

As for finding out what their past works were, well for one you'll just have to learn what all the production kanjis mean. As for show names, copy paste them into ANN's search box, that should net you it. If not, go into google.

Anything else, just ask.

Not the anon who asked for it, but those are some pretty handy tips. Thanks.

That 3D camera work in the chase scene...crazy stuff

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-10 22:32

Man this fucking episode is awesome. So the fight scenes were Kigami's. I could see that happening.

If this is Kigami's episode can't wait to see Ishidate's.

damned
he created red line , didn't he ?
He should create some other movies and stuff.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-11 9:05

>>272
His other movies are pretty weird, but they are fun to watch.

Check out The Taste of Tea if you haven't.
It has an animation bit by Koike.
Koike and Anno(and may be a few animators I can't name) made an appearance in the film as well.

>(2010) Iron Man (TV) : Director (Pilot), Mechanical design, Key Animation (eps 1, 7, 11)

Did anyone watch eps 1, 7 or 11 to see what Koike actually did in the end?

unless it's a movie I'll pass.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-11 9:56

Yes it's most likely Koike...

But god forbid marvel either backed off with giving proper funding or Koike just really prioritized Red Line more.
