Sukitte Iinayo looks surprisingly decent.

I'm loving the direction of the 1st episode. I shouldn't say this, but I hope they use even less animation and just pour all those budget into the very few select cuts like the kick, for example.

I agree with you. A romance story like that doesn't need much in terms of animation but strong direction.

Before reading the credits, I actually thought it was Shida.

I love Utsumi episodes too.

She did Azusa inception ep.

This is cool. Though if they were aiming to capture the look of 2D animation then they've got a long way to go.

This would work well enough for making the extras not look static in the background and everyone's moving.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 8:12

Is there anything noteworthy in MAPPA's Teekyu short?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 8:19

No, it looks like they made a flash anime outside of flash. It's horrible.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 11:18

>>172
It's not animated at all, but the visuals are great. Based Itagaki.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 12:29

Wow. GuP has a pretty nice production values. Good framing, layout, and some cool camera work. The CG isn't too bad either. Based Mizushima.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 12:42

>>175
Mizushima does wonders. I'm still impressed by how nice Joshiraku was from a production standpoint.

I hope the show itself is good too, I really like his stuff.

So it was true. Yoshinari Kou OP in Butt Biting Bugs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6WGJ28rb9o

>>177
That's his animation in the intro alright.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 17:41

>>177
Fucked up companies making Kou Yohshinari animate bullshit

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 17:44

>>179
Or maybe he just likes animating weird stuff?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 17:52

Rintaro storyboarded the ED for Sakurasou, w.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 18:13

Can we talk about other type of animations like indies stuff (on deviantart forexample) ? or it's japan only ?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 18:13

>>182
Sure, what do you want to talk about?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 18:22

oh ok !
I just wanted to be sure so i only asked

thanks for the answer

why the indie 2d animation is not exploeded like indies game ?

There is some potential there , it's sad to see there is no such a market for those.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 18:38

Well, 2D animated shorts are always being made by students and artists, I guess they just don't get alot of exposure.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-08 19:09

I did this , it's one of my 2d animations shorts (one of the reasons i asked before if the thread was opened to other countries)

I come from africa
here is the link

It's a nice concept and idea. You might want to tidy up your English spelling and grammar.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-09 13:34

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-09 14:06
