I probably don't have my AralTrans settings correct.
My settings are as follows:
Plugin: ATCode
Settings:/a:ATCode{ENCODEKOR,FORCEFONT(15),HOOK(Vm60.dll!0x0001406E,TRANS([ESP+0x28],PTRCHEAT),RETNPOS(COPY))}
Filter: /f:FixLine{},DenyWord{CUT(2)}
Translator: AralChansrUGP
Once I input those settings, there's no "confirm" button I need to hit, right?

I've seen a few missing lines here and there, which kinda screwed me up when I was copying and pasting things.

If the raw paste data is in the same format as what you are feeding into the translator, you need to eliminate the empty lines in between each line. It makes it hard to read and cramped but it made the scanning process a bit faster.
I also don't use any filter for the plugin, I don't know how much a difference that makes but that's the setup I've used when writing the plugin.
I got the prologue to display properly, except the ending bracket got transformed into another character. I will look into solutions for that. I'll check this thread more frequently until everything gets resolved.

About those missing lines, when I'm dumping text into the file, it checks the file to see if the line already exists before writing it. If a line was spoken in a previous scene, it'll be translated properly when playing through later scenes with the same line.
>>84
Yeah, the empty lines are because I'm using Notepad++. I'll monkey around with AralTrans a little more and try to get it to work.
Also, translating repeated lines as the same thing every time might be an issue depending on the interpretation of the line, but I'll see whether it's actually a big problem or not.
Do we need a group/website? I could probably make a private group on Steam or something and have everyone join. We could easily stay in communication then.

Ha, I finally figured out my AralTrans crashing issue.
There are two hook codes for Altered Fable.
One (the one you guys must be using) is:
ENCODEKOR,FORCEFONT(15),HOOK(Vm60.dll!0x0001406E,TRANS([ESP+0x28],PTRCHEAT))
The one that works for me is the other version:
ENCODEKOR,FORCEFONT(15),HOOK(Vm60.dll!0x0001215A,TRANS([ESP+0x28],PTRCHEAT))
I think the two codes may have to do with the name of the executable (and this may correspond to a different AF/rUGP version). My executable's named マブラヴオルタードフェイブル.exe
Now the issue I'm having is that AralTrans basically regurgitates the Japanese text back at me, albeit with some weird character formatting issues.

The Japanese mixed with some Korean and other symbols happens when you hook AralTrans without even providing a translator. If it still does that with the translator plugin selected, it might be interpreting text differently....
Keep listing any symptoms and I'll try to see if there's something I can fix from my end.

Hey guys, I know this is not right place to ask, but anyone can explain me how to use Kirikiri2?
I'm interested to hacking http://vndb.org/v1322,
but I can't figure it out how to extract the script and change it into file patch.xp3.
Anyone can help?

Is this using Araltrans? I cant help you if not
If not go ask /vg/
Please refrain from such posts

Hmm, does your tool look in a named directory for dump.txt? I've got it in the altered fable directory like your documentation said to, but I still keep getting Japanese text (although the font's different, so AralTrans is obviously trying to do something)

Maybe you could post sample and get volunteers from here to shove it in

As long as the file is in the muv luv AF folder in the age root, it should be fine...
I have a feeling that because the hook is different, it might be hooking a different text stream. I'll try to investigate more possibilities later.

>Still 5% done
I know rushing is a bad thing and all but, this is taking too long.
>>97
Oh and Jutsuki-sen only started like month and few days ago and already made ~20% progress. How is that too slow? People would take 5%/month or two normally

I can't really help with this in any way (zero knowledge of Japanese/programming), but I just want to say please keep up the good work! I want to read this VN and its awesome to see some people translating it.

So did Jutsuki ever get that araltrans issue worked out?

That was 2 months ago, and you can't edit threads, you dumbfuck.

Well, this appears dead. That's what I get for getting my hopes up.

I'm not sure. I also have no idea if the errors with the tools were machine specific or not.

stop giving up hope so early
Jutseki sen has been translating and hes 20% done already

I doubt anybody can give up ALL their hope. I mean, this has to be released in English by somebody eventually, right? And, if it's done by this Jutseki guy, all the better. Hopefully the translator errors will be found out and this game get fully translated. Then this Jutseki guy will be awesome.

According to Jutsuki Sen, he hasn't abandoned the project.
*I can't actually see the results of my hooking in AralTrans, so it could be 0% for all I know. All lines (that were present in dump.txt) of the Airsoft Arc are "hooked", though.
In >>>/a/>>72773973, I had a couple people test out the script, and all they managed to get was "No matching text", so obviously I've done something wrong.
If somebody could lend me their insight, I'd be grateful...

Posting this here too:
Tested AralTrans on patched and unpatched versions of the game. Still no dice.
On the unpatched ver, using the automatically generated AT code, game sometimes crashes when using CTRL. Spits out "No matching text". Readme AT code gives weird mix of Japanese and Korean.
On the patched ver, both AT codes work ok, but still does not translate the text. Also gives a weird mix of Japanese and Korean.
And for some reason, trying to replay previous dialogue lines with AralTrans hooking causes rUGP to crash.

Op here
Shouldn't really matter but did you try replacing fixline.dat dl'ed from the at code database website? If I remember correctly, without it everything got fucked up.
Also are you guys entering at code correctly?
Name:
Anonymous2012-10-09 23:00
Actually
You guys aren't entering any filter if that matters
I ran across problems not putting in filters when reading VN on araltrans in past. Maybe try to put it in?
Wouldn't hurt to try
It's 필터입력. Where's that image I posted before...

I was under the impression that we didn't need to use fixline with NullPointer's plugin.
Anyway I'm gonna give this a go with what is hopefully "the other version" of Altered Fable
>>115
What do you mean by "patched"? Is there a patch for Altered Fable or something?
Name:
Anonymous2012-10-09 23:15
Trying everything would help wouldn't it?
Anyways we can really use that coder right now.

By patched I mean... you know, sometimes games get updates, hence "patched"
The copy I used had the vanilla game and the patched files, so I just used AralTrans for both scenarios.
I've been googling and here's what I mean:
インストール初期 【rUGP System Version 5.80.36】
パッチを適用後 【rUGP System Version 5.80.50AFU】
