It actually had some decent potential but they wasted all their time doing swimsuit episodes and loli nuns.
I only watched it, so I'm hoping for a second season where some character development actually happens?

I want to get into this series, the girls are really cute and I love the uniform, but from watching a small part of the first episode it shows no signs of being anything less than a mediocre harem series
Can anyone convince me to stick with it or should I quit while I'm ahead?

It's not anything less than a mediocre harem series, but it's enjoyable if you like the two main heroines or are patient enough to enjoy scenes with the others. Otherwise, you'll likely not miss anything if you quit while you're ahead.
For some reason I see a lot of people on /a/ imageboard give it a bad rap. But honestly, it kept me interested throughout the entire series. I really liked the characters that got added throughout the series, and the story was really nice too.
The majority of the light novels are translated, I recommended taking a look.
Volumes 1-5 are fully done, with Volume 6 missing the last chapter
Most of Vol.7 is done as well, good time to catch up
