need help.

ok so theres an anime i used to watch probably like 9-13 years ago. it aired around midnight on cartoon network and theres not a whole lot i can remember about it. either the opening song or the ending song had a scene with cherry blossoms and a field. the song itself was sung by a woman and was a very peaceful almost sad song. i believe there was a space element to the show. other than that im kinda tapped for information on it at the moment. so any shows that might fit that vague bill that aired around the late late 90s early 2000s that you can think of let me know please. hopefully everyone can help me find this show.

also a side note on that, i looked for the song via youtube because it was the most memorable part for me and didnt find it, i just never decided to sit through some episodes.
