So I finally got around to finishing EVA
While I was impressed by the series as a whole, I was a bit confused by the ending. I'm guessing it's one of those "open to interpretation" endings as nothing was really definite. I realise the message the series was trying to get across was more about one's perspective on life, and not so much about FIGHTAN ROBOTS. I understood that much.
But what were the angels and the EVA's? Why was SEELE so determined on fullfiling the "prophesy" that ultimately led to the destruction of humanity? Were they counting on Shinji to "rebirth" mankind?
Were Shinji and Asuka suppose to be the figurative "Adam and Eve"? I also couldn't tell whether or not Shinji killed Asuka at the end. More importantly, why did he want to kill her?
Let's here your take
