Shinsen's Soichiro begging for money

At first I was rather accepting of the request but after some thought, I realized how little sense it makes.

Shinsen and all other fansubbers provide a service which usually goes uncompensated; something rare and unique to fansubs. So once funds are requested, whatever the total amount, my conscious is prodded to help out.

The problem arises from the fact the money will be going to his schooling. Not fansubs, not the group, not anything to do with any reason anyone would ever even care about Shinsen. Will his inability to attend higher education, a privilege in most countries, really affect his ability to contribute to Shinsen? Or is he just complaining about a threat posed to his sense of normalcy, of which money was a barometer?

I'll go for the later and hope GG buys them out. However stupid that idea sounds.

Yeah, but I wouldn't have guessed that fansub groups are actually worth something. Always thought of them as black holes of time and money :D
