Does anyone else ever think of this? I'm looking back right now and i have several hundred GBs of images across multiple harddrives placed in random folders.
I'm attempting to organize everything but god damn this is a lot of sorting to go through...anyone have any tips, advices, or organizational schemes they're willing to share? Programs or anything to make this task simpler is welcomed.

Saving images is a hobby for some people. Especially for places like 4chan where it's image oriented.
Tips for organizing images:
1) Organize images as you save them. Don't simply save them in one folder and plan to organize them later on because it will pile up on you. It's better to take a few extra seconds to go to a specific folder rather than waiting to organize them all at once.
2) If you have a bunch of images saved in one folder, spend every day organizing just a little bit. Even doing a couple hundred images a day will do wonders.
There's also a few programs that will sort through and find duplicate images but they aren't always reliable since it can't distinguish between images that have slight modifications (cg sets and so forth).
^discussion on image organization
I save images simply because I like them. Funny? saved. Nice wallpaper? saved. Potential to be a nice wallpaper? Saved. Extra weird? saved.
I still haven't figured out how to organize them all. I'm thinking a tagging system of some kind. I'm going to check out picasa.
