I haven't read anything new for ages. I've been re-reading Berserk, JoJo, Yotsuba and stuff by Nihei and Urasawa but would like something new to sink my teeth into. New as in the last 3 or 4 years or so, I've been out of the manga loop for a while.

I prefer to read seinen but I'm fine with any genre as long as the quality is high.

You should read classics that you may have missed out on.  Read the Akira manga, and some Hiroaki Samura stuff.  Lately I've been reading a lot of "slice of life" and samurai stuff, even though I'm mainly a mecha otaku.  There isn't that much good new seinen stuff.  You might also try Genshiken or possibly look for Alita (don't read the last two chapters of part 1- skip to part 2 cause it ends badly and gets retconned for the sequel).  Also, the Eva manga is still being produced even though it started 15 years ago.

Don't change these.
