Catherine Ushiromiya was a fair girl and she loved every beautiful thing about human culture.
But her mother, Beatrice, was appalled by her behavior. She loved Battler when he was alive, but when he perished, so did her love for humans.
Catherine was a painful reminder of that. One day, when she came to Beatrice to ask her blessing in marriage, that was the last straw.
SLAP!
"Mother..." Catherine sobbed as Beatrice slapped her, "You little half-breed. You are no daughter of mine!" Beatrice glared down at her and snarled at her.
"YOU CANNOT DO THIIS! I LOVE HIM!" Catherine screamed at her mother.
Another brutal slap sent her to the floor. "Do NOT tell me what I can do and what I cannot do, little girl." Beatrice grabbed the front of her dress and glared into her eyes.
"Oh, I was a fool to have carried you in my womb, when your father, Battler Ushiromiya, sent his seed into me." Catherine's eyes shed tears as Beatrice raged. "But all these years, all the time as I threw away my human self to become a witch, was wasted when you were born!"
Catherine cried out as Beatrice slapped her again and threw her to the floor.
"But no more. I will make you suffer so much, you wish you would have never been born." With these last words, Beatrice summoned a branding iron and ripped off the lower part of Catherine's dress and branded her right buttock.
Catherine screamed in agony! The pain! Oh, the horrible pain! "There. Do you like it? My personal touch. You will never have any children." Beatrice's sick smile oozed as Catherine sobbed uncontrollably.
"Mother..." she blurted out as Beatrice kicked her in the stomach.
"NEVER call me that again. Now GET OUT!" She roared the last two words out as she gave a fierce smack to her daughter's rear as she stumbled out of the room.
"Worthless little brat." Beatrice grabbed a bottle of wine and drunk it down. "Oh, Battler, Why did you have to give me such a bad seed?" Beatrice looked at the skies and sighed sadly.
Catherine went to her fiancee and told him about the horrible things she did to her. "That witch! I'll go inform everyone and have her killed!" her fiancee roared in anger.
With that, the fiancee summoned up an angry mob and went down to Beatrice's mansion to kill her.
Beatrice licked her lips as she saw the torches. "So, it's time." She snapped her fingers and her dress was replaced with a black one. "I'm coming to join you, my dear Battler."
With that, she summoned up a few hellhounds and knights and confronted the mob. "Let the battle begin," she said and the two sides clashed with bodies flying.
Several hours later, The fiancee's army had won and Beatrice was hanged from a noose.
"Victory is won, my dear Catherine." The fiancee smiled. But Catherine was not smiling. In fact, she wasn't smiling at all.
Catherine had already died of a broken heart after seeing her mother being hung from the gallows. The fiancee, face paled from horror, ran from his beloved's corpse and castrated himself with a stick.
Then he beheaded himself with an axe and died. Beatrice had won and her bloodline would continue no more. Or would it?
The end?
