I have many years of experience with the Japanese language, and have done a few scanlations before just for fun. I actually entered www.manganovel.com 's translation contest and received an honorary mention although I didn't win(I think I was it bit too literal). I used the name lordvr for that contest.
I am very capable of doing a solid translation, the only drawback might be that I'm not very good at image editing. I have done scanlations before, one of which is still very much alive and is still floating around the internet. If you would like to see an example to gauge my editing skill I can reveal past work if you contact me via email. I must warn you the edits I do are ghetto MsPaint hack jobs, but I work very quickly.
I'm flat broke atm, and my other skills are not up to par to compete in any other arena professionally. For my part in this endeavor, I'm really just trying to scrounge up burger money to move up from instant ramen noodles.
