Desu?

Please u guys , any one , what is the meaning of desu and whats up with that anime chick with two diferent eye colors?

uhhhggg.... The chick with the different colored eyes is suieseki from Rozen Maiden. She phrases all her sentences with "desu" - a Japanese verb that means lit. "it is" in addition to making the speech more formal. I have no idea why anon likes this, I personally though Rozen Maiden was the shittiest anime I ever watchd.
