From what I heard, it's WAY different from the HiME series.

Yeah, I've been collecting the DVD's and man the dub is horrible.

i watched otome first, and im still in the process of watching hime, but i really liked otome, but they needed to make it longer, they tried to put so much in at one time.
after ep 17 is where it gets good

Thats not a second season, its a series of OVAs. Only 1 out atm, I believe its going to go to 4 though.
