It seems to me that most anime w/ young-mid age characters fall under 'slice of life' category. I also like these types of anime w/ older characters, usually around college age. Recently its become aware to me that I dont really like the fantasy type anime, it looks too.. bubbly and such.. howver I do feel like I can relate to anime w/ college age'd type people. What is REC btw? I've know of the other three, all of which I enjoyed Very much.

Anyway, Maison Ikkoku, macross, Tekkaman Blade

A few, basically just look at older shows before everyone was a pedo.
