Mottos in anime

Which ones do you think are the most rertarded or the best mottos.
I have to go with Shichio Makoto's motto "the strong lives the weak dies" and with the X-LAWS motto that is quite similiar to the Aku Soku Zan.

In xxxHolic Yuuko says on many occasions something along the lines of "To receive a certain amount of happiness, one has to go through an equal amount of suffering. This is how the universe works." She also gives many examples for this. Actually made me think a lot about it.
