Excellent manga featuring multiple stories; all which are linked by recurring characters as well as of course, the curse of the "spiral" unleashed upon a town. I really like how the early stories are more personal and individual, but much later the plot turns into something of a... much larger scale.

here one that is a good horror manga by Nakayama Masaaki, it's called FUAN NO TANE.

it just a complilation of oneshots/short stories of incidents. as for the stories itself, i'm not sure if the stories are true or not.

the greatest horror manga/anime i've read/watched is Higurashi No Naku Koroni.
The story is just absolutely amazing, and the horror just chills ur spine, check it out.

I browsed /rs/ and found some of his collected works (The Horror World of Junji Ito) but they are all in korean.. or perhaps it's mandarin. :/

Just looking at the pictures give you a reasonable idea what's going on though, and the art is awesome and has shows some interesting development over the years.. imo his earlier works has variation than his newer.
