Strawberry Panic

Whats so great about this anime? I hear nothing but praise for it, and 2 of my friends are completely in love with it. I just find it really dull and too simple though. I've watched the first 4 episodes, but there doesnt seem to be any character/plot development at all. Is this just another fanservice anime with Yuri undertones, or does it actually start to go somewhere/get better soon? Is the manga any better?

It's not too simple if you're a kid. Go figure.

It's vile degenerate filth, that's what it is.  All those lovely young girls and yet we never get to see them have sex or get nekkid.  What's the world coming to?   The uniforms are nice though - mine arrived last week, though it doesn't look quite as nice on me as I'm a 6'3" 55 year old man weighing 240 lb.
