Hi, my name is Anonymous and I love shounen anime, Love Hina style. I have watched and loved Love Hina, Maburaho, Negima, and others, as well as the slightly more original Midori no Hibi.
Can you name more harem anime for me? Complete with loads of fanservice and domestic violence if possible, thanks.
Seinen manga/anime is for an older audience, older teen/college age and up (opposed to shounen, which is for young teens/all ages etc.). So basically he's being a little amusing troll. :)

By what means? Seinen is either totally inapporate for kids like hentai or has political/philosophical circlejerking ala GITS and Lain. Love Hina has only some sexual jokes and they're not even really offensive ones and certainly it's not philosophical or deep in any way. It's just like every other harem anime, except it's the one which started the genre.

Not really. Seinen can be anything, just aimed at an older audience.
Usually you tell by the magazine it runs in. Stuff that starts with "Young" (ie Young Jump, Young Magazine, etc.), the Big Comic magazines, Afternoon, Ultra Jump, Evening, Morning, etc.

I dunno. It's just what Shueisha likes to call their male orientated magazines. Just like Shogakukan uses "-Sunday" and Kodansha uses "-Magazine/Magajin" and Akita whatever uses "-Champion", etc. etc. etc.
