Loss of interest...

I've stopped watching anime for quite some time.

It started to bore me because it was always cliched.

Tell some good animes that aren't shit like Naruto and all of those big animes.  Give something worth watching, with a good story that's not confusing as hell.

Please Teacher is easy to watch deasantly funnny and a appealing storyline, I'd suggest it. Oh yes and Gantz would also get my recommendation because it is easy to watch and good storyline and great charicter development the only slightly bad thing is its somwhat slow progression at times but overall its a good one.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Noein. It starts off slow, but you'll find yourself interested in the characters. It's a character drama and sci-fi story put together.

Don't watch GANTZ, read the manga.  The anime isn't terrible, but it doesn't get anywhere close to the awesomeness of the original.  And for the OP, it's just about as un-cliched as you can get.  In fact, I'm in pretty much the same situation as you with anime.  I used to watch shitloads of it a few years ago, but now I'm pretty much sick of the same old crap.  But trust me, read GANTZ.  It's the only anime/manga I read now.

Go kill yourself, Last Exile rocks! It's the only anime I've ever actually paid for (that had more to do with it being 88% off than it being the best anime ever, but still...)
