Publishing houses? Independant printers?

Name: Anonymous 2006-04-02 15:50

mmm.. I don't know if this should go in book or manga..
anyway, anyone know any good publishing or printing presses for materials such as doujin? (preferably indepedant press that allows adult material)

It's so hard to find anything in north america that will let you print whatever you want...

on top of that, I'm trying to find a place where I can use the general B5 doujin template...

I found a couple of japanese sites but I doubt they ship overseas (plus my jap sucks)

Anyone know of any other good printers? from any country? that will ship worldwide?

Please anonymi.. help! It will answer questions many of us have!

>>1 This is interesting, I've always wondered where someone can get their stuff printed.
I know of one place that will print whatever you got - hentai, dojin or whatev - :
www.dreamweaverpress.com
They have different book sizes but I don't think they work on any japanese templates.
There's always Lulu.com for print on demand although they're more strick about adult material.

cafepress is dangerous. their terms of service make it clear that it will basically belong to them. they also charge a lot.

I don't have any yet and I'd rather not show it. I'm waiting until I can find a printhouse that allows for the traditional B5 doushinji print specs (worst thing to do is starting to draw with the wrong tempates). I'm not looking to get published. Just selling adult doujinshi for now.

Thanks for the links. Yes I do know about those 2. Dreamweaver press seems like ther perfect choice for now... Hopefully more choices will pop up.

A company that I used to work for used this company. It's a good setup to self publish. You need an ISBN to print with them tho.
