I find the explosive diarrhea faces to be fascinating when paused.  They have such detail that they could be used in a serious anime about ugly, fat, or old people.  It shows that anime artists could draw people with wrinkles or imperfections, but choose to draw childlike dolls of beauty instead. 

Like an art teacher once said, Picasso really could make normal realistic paintings, but simply chose not to.

There are a great number of different art styles present in this short series.  Romance, action, cartooniness, fantasy/sci-fi, military, musclebound bald dudes... a whole series could be made off of each style.

I liked the show but the end sucked. It was like watching Bleach all over again until the last 5 minutes.
