Question about The End Of Evangelion

When Shinji is alone in the emergency room with Asuka after he's done calling for help from her, there is a moment were the screen pans all around the room and you hear Shinji's breath become quite rough but still low, then it shows his hand with some sort of fluid on it, personally I think that he was masturbating while Asuka was passed out, and some of the dialouge in the movie would only add substance to prove my point, but one of my friends thinks that the stuff in Shinji's hands was either tears or sweat.

Well 4chan, I wanna hear you opinions, cause really the fuck not, always good to get others opinions.

What do you guys think of the ending? Theres a big arguement whether everyone in the world, cept Shinji and Asuka, is dead. Or that simply everyone is in that orbiting stream of blood/souls(?), and that eventually, they'll come back to life x_X??

But, how do you think Asuka (or obviously died horribly) and Shinji (who was inside his Eva, which is floating out in space now) end up on the that beach??, and who bandaged Asuka :P?
