Paper vs digital

This applies to manga, comics, doujinshi, and porn.  Do you feel a deeper connection with the work if you're physically reading it, rather than viewing it on a monitor?  I can only really appreciate scanned manga if it's in full size and I have to scroll down to see everything, though it's not quite as great as flipping pages.  There's some draw with phyical contact of the work that I can't explain.  Some deeper connection with the paper itself.

I like reading print manga better.

Ain't it totally normal to like printed Manga better?

I prefer printed manga aswell, though scanned also have their advanteages. But after all you can't beat the feeling of browsing though a manga book.

printed manga, if it has a local release, id rather buy it then donwload it. really wish they sold h-manga's in america.

This might be why the manga market's doing so great as opposed to the anime DVD market: it just ain't the same pirating a book.

Yeah, if a fansub doesn't get realeased in the U.S. I really don't care to buy the dvd, but with manga I actually go and buy it if I like that scantalation, even if it isn't realeased in the U.S.  Then again it is considerably cheaper to buy manga than toi get anime dvd's

That depends on your definition of cheaper.  And buy.

If I could get scanlation-style translations in paper form it'd be nice.  I just don't like the localization or style most companies do with the stuff they license; give me the tenten style w/notes and whatnot and I'll be happy.

I prefer paper, can read it anywhere, And on my laptop screen, my eyes get tired faster. Oh, I read as much scans as I can get, but I also buy lots of mangas ( actual collection > 300 books ). It's also true that some companies slaughter the spirit of the manga in their localization, but it's getting better.

I like idea of owning the thing phsyical thing. Also being law abiding and supportive of the author's works is good, as lame as that sounds. But it's a hassle to keep the book in good condition. If I open it up too far it'll mess up the spine or what not. oily hands too.
What I like about digital is that usually the scan makes it bigger, easier to read and look at. It's also more convenient than holding a book. flipping pages with the scroll of a mouse. When there is art that takes up two pages there's no crack (if someone's edited the scan right).

I actually prefer reading manga on a computer screen to thumbing through a book. The same goes for pretty much anything, actually; I just find printed material awkward and uncomfortable to read. Plus with printed manga, there's usually at least two speech bubbles that go way into the crack of the spine and that you have to prise open the book like some kind of clam to read properly. (At least with the English releases.)
I can sit more comfortably reading something at eye-level on a computer and turning the pages with two keys, honestly.

I prefer changing pages with the mousewheel and changing volumes with a double-click.

Owning paper books sucks. I have nearly 1200 lbs of magazines, manga, comics, and novels. That's more mass than I have in technology.

Real books are nice, but they can be hard on my eyes because I need new glasses. But that doesn't happen too much.

I can't see why reading manga on a PC would bug people. Maybe its because i've read so much on a PC.

I prefer the books my self. i have over 50 gigs of scans of course but only because im broke as of now. i have almost 500 books including untranslated hentai >.> its fun looking @ hentai mangas in public places or on city busses aint it? >:)
