Since manga is booming in the US we've quite a few titles get picked up for publication that would've never seen the light of day back in the past. So what I'm wondering is, do ya think Viz will take a chance on bringing everybody's favorite afroed nosehair-fighting hero stateside?

It might happen. One of the Shonen Jump issues featured a page writeup on BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo. They certainly haven't licensed all the series they've written about in SJ yet, but I imagine there's not much point telling people about these series if they're not going to come out.
So not necessarily a given, but entirely possible.

Anime is licenced, and frankly I can't see how they are going to pull it off. There are just too many jokes in that show based around puns, and we all know what happens when puns are translated.

I can't even find a translator interested in working on scanlations for this manga. It's hilarious, but the jokes are too language-centric.

There's going to be a lot of translation notes, but I hope they will release Bo-bobo. The scanlations by ADTRW pretty much show that it could be done.
maybe they will hype it up as 'flcl craziness' or somesuch nonsense...

They're just going to make stuff up, I'm sure.

Yeah, seriously. If you were putting on a show for Toonami (which is where Bobobo is going), would you sit around explaining foreign-language puns to your preteen viewers?
