W-Dreamers are fansubbing a uncensored one. There is enough hentai content of that chick in the series itself... who want's to draw hentai of something when the real thing exists?

what about those extra episodes included in the american release? heard those were to compensate for the heavy censoring of hentai/violence.
They're not 'extra episodes' - they're just the original 13 episodes left intact.
The original Japanese broadcast of the first season cut out so many scenes from some episodes that there wasn't enough footage left to run the length of a full episode, so a couple of them were spliced together, reducing the episode count.

maybe thats why i cant find uncensored episode 10 and 11. Y'know the episode with the robo- ringo stars and the mutant birds. Do you know any good torrent sites for the episodes for season 2?

Till the end for the Buddha massacre, it follows the manga's plot, after that it gets an all new original ending which blows so much you wouldn't believe it.

Shocwave released the dvd version till up to episode 7. gotta get it from their IRC chat.
w-dreamers has subbed all the way to last episode of 26, it seems the show itself took a different turn from the manga. which i found quite upseting. as for wether there will be more gantz anime in the near future I wouldnt know.

The last few episodes still did a good job of continuing the theme of the differences between social expectations, personal action, and trust. The plot sagged, though, since the writers didn't have anything to base it on. I wasn't disapointed until the end where...
SPOILER ALERT!!!
he ends up in the train station again, with Mika on his back, and running away from the train. It doesn't explain what's going on at all. Sure, it's nice to leave things open to interpretation, but I don't think there's much to interpret here. I think the writers just didn't have any good way to finish off the series. Based on later events in the manga, I suppose it means he's going to keep going back until he revives his friends, but within the anime itself there's nothing leading up to that as a meaningful ending.
I'll be buying the US first season, but I don't know if I'll get the last DVD or the second season at all.

I'd also only buy the DVDs till the end of The Buddha massacre.
Did the same things with other series, bought only the dvds till the story went down the drain

Two episodes per dvd? Fuck that noise. Besides, collecting anime is a rich man's hobby anyways. I think I'll just join netflix and rent, rent, rent.
And I also think that "The Buddha Massacre" would make a great name for a band.
And Tomb Raider girl had some sweet titties :)

I heard the DVDs will be really cheap though

Yeah, $12 at best buy. Granted, only two episodes, but what do you usually pay for a dvd? $24 dollars, say? And that gets you usually four or five episodes? Okay, maybe a bit more expensive for Gantz, but it's not like you're getting a big rip off. Gantz is maybe 10% more expensive, but it's still a fair price. I just hope the release schedule is twice as fast, too.
