Ah, nothing like the classics, eh? The only unfortunate thing is that buying all of 24-or-so of them costs $10 a piece... at least $200 down the drain. :(

But what is really funny is that a few of these mangas are in my school library. And how they got in there, I will never know.

The thing that bugs me most is that, while Viz made the right choice by resizing their releases to tankoban size and lowering the price to standard $10, they still haven't unmirrored Ranma, probably just out of sheer laziness. Of course, the sound effect and art edits they've done with Ranma and so many other releases is also a travesty.

... But yeah, Ranma rocks. The manga is 1000x better than the anime.

$200? I got lucky on eBay and got all 38 of the original Japanese for $175 including shipping.

I also had borrowed some Viz versions. Not only is the image reversed, but the image quality is worse as well. I was amazed at how sharp the Japanese was compared to the American. Not I've stuck myself in some strange hole wherein I only allow myself to buy the Japanese version of a manga.

 But back to Ranma, yes, the manga is much better than the anime, yet, sadly, it also eventually ends.

I propose you scan those in and give raws available for someone who wants to do a proper translation!

Not much point. The scanlation community has already done the entire series, IIRC.

You've really gotta love it....  personally, i'm going to my local con as Genma this year.
