What if you write out English haikus in Katakana?　You can't just rewrite existing English haikus, though. "Yes we can", which is 3 syllables, would be written as "イエス・ウィ・キャン" in Katakana, consisting of 8 "on"; the unit to which the haiku's length is restricted. I recommend reading more about this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_%28Japanese_prosody%29.

I was surprised that something like "きょ" counts as two "on".
