I'm Australian and I've never heard anyone ever say moot.
And for all you yanks, nobody actually says g'day or any of that crap except for 50+ year olds, and more importantly (this misconception absolutely bewilders me) absolutely nobody ever says throw another shrimp on the barbie. Australians don't even call it shrimp, they're prawns
