Merry late Christmas, /vip/. A short story.

When I was a kid, I was amazed by how Santa was able to leave our presents below the tree, even though we didn't have a chimney. Year after year, I would try to see Santa but as soon as I looked away into the night lit by fireworks, the presents would be there an instant later.

This obsession soon faded, and mom eventually told me she was Santa.

This Christmas' Eve, I was casually talking to mom and my sister, praising mom for being so swift in delivering the presents, myself being unable to spot her.

I found out that she was working alongside my sister (who was eight at the time) for my sake, seeing as dad died a few years earlier, and they didn't want me to lose my faith in magic after what happened to my father. My sister would grab my attention as she pointed out to the skies, trying to spot Santa in the sky, as mom delivered the presents underneath the Christmas tree.

I love my family.

Your sister must also treat you like you're her kid, huh?

Not really, she used to act like every older sister when we were kids, but now we're cool with each other, not wanting to kill each other.

Nice story. I hope you didn't give up on believing easily. Sage for not contributing to the thread.

A few years later, in Christmas' Eve of 1999, it was going to be midnight, everyone knew Santa were our parents, I was spending Christmas' Eve with my cousins. I started leaving the house to see the fireworks and told everyone to come with me, since Santa wouldn't give us our presents otherwise.

"But you know who Santa is! Why bother?"

-"Because I choose to believe." - I soon left the building and watched the fireworks, with my sister and cousins following behind. After that, we returned home and opened our presents.

That was a sweet story. My father died when I was 8.

My mother died when I was 11. Wanna hook our parents up and be bros?

You made me laugh, anon. That sounds like some kind of sick pickup line.
My mom met another guy on eHarmoney 2 years ago, so it's cool.
