My Mancraft Diary

Bought my first copy of Mancraft yesterday, and sat about worrying as it rendered the world. The place I ended up with wasn't exactly an insta-paradise, but I'm not buying another copy of the game just to change the scenery.

DAY 1

Headed off to some nearby rocks to get myself a few sharp ones, and then headed off to the nearest trees and started to scavage for twigs to make a club.

Finding an animal was a little harder, but soon enough I found a few furries to club, and started skinning them with my rocks, resulting in a few sacks to expand my inventory with, one slot each.

Using some furry tendons, I crafted together twigs and rocks, and got myself a basic stone spear, a stone shovel and a stone axe.

Spent the rest of the day looking for a natural cave, and found an uninhabited one in the evening. Saw some niggers in the distance, so I kept away from them, hoping they'd leave me alone as well. (They've got spears as well, so I'm not yet equipped to deal with them.)

Used the shovel to barricade myself off from the giant maneating spiders and anal rapists stalking about at night. You don't hear the spiders, but I heared one of the rapists scream in the distance, so I guess they were nearby during the night.

DAY 2

No sign of lurking spiders on my roof, I went down to the beach to see what I could find. You can't actually see through the water, but I could see lots of big shark fins at the deeper end. Brought back some sand, mud and a little clay, only to find that a big maneating bear had taken up residence at my shelter. I should have blocked the entrance off.

After finding another cave to drop off the sand and mud at, I went scavenging for more rocks, and cut down a whole tree in order to get some more wood. Went back to the cave and combined lots of twigs together with some moss I found, banging rocks together until I had created fire, fed it with the wood I had acquired, and then started creating torches out of twigs to put up. It took all day, but at least I wouldn't get anymore spider surprises during the night. Crafted a pot out of the clay, and burned it over the open fire, indending to collect some water the next day.

DAY 3

The torches had all burned out, but there were no spiders dropping down on me as I exited the cave.
Gathered lots of rocks and brought them back in order to make a furnace - it burns a little longer.
Killed another furfag, combining its tendons, a rock and some wood in order to create a stone pick, and then went around hunting for mineral deposits. No luck. Had to flee from some niggers as well. I'm looking forward to raiding their tribe, but so far I'm far too ill-equipped to wage war on them.

That sounds like a cool game.
