Perl, I wanted to use it today for something for the first time in ages and all it took was five minutes refreshing my brain and I remembered.

Perl is the most flexible, powerful, and fun language to work with.  As a result, it's slowly being phased out of industry.
Python is easier to learn, reasonably powerful, and used everywhere.
PHP is a retarded kid mashing crayon after crayon into the sidewalk saying LUK I MADE WEBPAEG.  It is the most popular scripting language.  PHP has the added bonus that you don't actually have to learn it; you can just vomit onto a text editor and it will look like every other piece of PHP code ever written.

why did you ask here?

Also those aren't scripting languages. You may want to pick up some basics with python then move onto Javascript or PHP.

MUDKIPZZ!!! etc. if u get what i mean i think its the only board without 99% of it being cancer.
