I've never had a girlfriend in my life. I've asked lots of girls out, but none of them have ever said yes. Recently I met a girl who really likes me. There's just one problem... She's 12 years old. I'm not usually attracted to young girls, but she's the first girl who has ever shown any interest in me. I'm waiting until I get married (if I ever do) to have sex, so we wouldn't be doing anything illegal... My question is this: should I give up what could be my only chance to ever have a girlfriend because people might think I'm a pedophile, or should I go out with her and not worry about what people might think?

If so, I'd suggest maybe just playing it cool for now, then letting her be your "girl friend" in terms when she's 16-ish or whenever she's hormonally woman, and if things go well, maybe marry. Loads of IFS, but maybe.
