I'm so sick of anime....

Most anime is garbage and reeks of pedophilia and stresses the fact that japanese dudes can't get laid.

Maybe those factors are hitting home finally?

I've been out of the fandom for awhile now. I mean it used to be when you met somebody else who was into anime that they were usually into all kinds of other Japanese entertainment too... like movies, J-pop/rock, etc. Strangers would seem like best friends because you had all of the same interests.

These days the fandom is dominated by people who watch dubs on Cartoon Network and don't even know what a Seiyuu is or anything. They would never dream of watching something with subtitles and they've never heard of X-Japan, Megumi Hayashibara or hide.

Then at the opposite end of the spectrum you have the psycho anime fans that take cosplay way too seriously, use Japanese words in every sentence (even though they don't know Japanese) and are really loud, annoying and obnoxious. They are a total embarassment to themselves and everyone else around them.
