XP: Arrange Files by...

This is a very simple, very annoying problem!!

I have a folder full of mp3s (that's constantly being added to), but Windows Explorer won't let me arrange the icons by Date modified

Why the shit won't it let me do this?!?! When I right-click on the folder and goto Arrange Icons By i only get the useless guff like duration, albumn title etc etc.

I tried going into Properties->Customize tab and changing the folder type, but it still doesn't give me much success

Any help would be appreciated

If it's Windows, then you can do ls --sort=time too, retard. dir /o:d will work in a stock installation too. Several alternative shells may have some internal listing too. FAR manager will sort and filter by common or custom criteria with regular or natural sort. If you're not yet satisfied, you can use Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Lua, JavaScript, VBScript and probably other scripting languages to do it your way.
