You know what's fucking played out? Rice. What began as a small, easy to grow
grain discovered by accident deep in the swamps of Asia became a way of life for
the poorest of the poor. And thus a class of people was born: the rice farmers.
And I know what you'll say. ``Rice is good, VIPPER. It let those people live
when they could not before.'' Yeah, that might be true. But you know what else
happened? As rice grew bigger and bigger those people began to rely on rice.
Eating rice for every meal meant recipes based around rice, it meant
malnutrition, it meant a dependence on rice. And more and more poor were born,
condemned to live worthless lives making more and more rice. Middlemen saw
that it was profitable and sold rice from one group of poors to the others,
pocketing the difference. Dynasties were born and crumbled on the backs of the
rice farmers. Even today rice is sold by the barrel at premium prices while
making those poor men and women pennies on the dollar. And rice doesn't even
taste good. Rice is played. Game, set, match. Eat bread.
