HIV-infected arrivals costing $2m a year

HIV treatment for new refugees to Australia, some of whom weren't screened for the infection before arriving, is costing NSW $2 million annually.
The state's taxpayers are footing the bill for HIV treatment of 170 new arrivals, with a NSW Health report revealing the temporary residents are ineligible for Medicare, News Ltd newspapers reported.
Many had not been screened by the Immigration Department and discovered they had the illness only after entering Australia.
NSW Health Minister John Hatzistergos said testing was a commonwealth responsibility that was being shifted to the NSW public health system.
State health officials have already warned there may be an outbreak of diseases from overseas arrivals in NSW hospitals because federal government does not screen all refugees
Ok great so we are bringing in boat loads of AIDS ridden Africans who dont yet know how to use electricity.. Tell me.. how exactly is this adding to Australia in a good way? Having a disease like that should be instant and arbitary denial of immigration.
