making your own clothes

since there isn't really any dedicated fashion forum, i figured this would stereotypically be the next best place.

anyone here make their own clothes? what methods do you use/prefer? does anyone (or has ever considered) selling or starting your own line?

might as well describe your own personal style while you're at it
