Probably the times I've felt best about watching Azumanga Daioh is when I've told the jokes that Osaka tells, and nobody gets it then either. Heh heh.
I'm in love with Sakaki, and no amount of real woman will ever fix that, I think. Not so much in love with her body (the feeling lingers post-fap) but rather in who she is. She's an introvert, just like me. She loves animals and cute things, just like me. People think I'm cool (not being prideful here, but I'm the "go-to" guy when people wanna do something fun) but honestly I'd rather them just accept me for who I am.
I also cried when A.D. ended, but look forward to the spin-off potential (although from what I'm told, that never happens in anime).
Go watch Fruits Basket. It'll make you feel good about yourself.
BTW, the only way you'll ever truly "absorb" Azumanga Daioh is to get the mangas, and watch the DVDs, once in subtitles and once with dubbing. Through constant research in this manner, I hope to someday be able to "create" Sakaki in my own head, the idea being that if the illusion feels just the same as the real thing, it's ok for me to fall in love with her. Then, I'll never be lonely again, because my mind-wife will always be with me.
