I came over on the "world2ch boat of hate" that came with Shii because he and moot stole the idea and ran with it. It's not much worse than w2c was really, it's about the same in terms of population and terrible post quality really. Usenet has always been better. I don't know about the imageboards but I would assume they are less popular since images are cumbersome and they are subject to change.
