For instance, television studios REALLY need to start streaming their tv shows on the internet same night of airing.

Most of us don't have time to schedule our lives around tv shows. I can't be home to watch your new fangled shows and give it ratings if I'm working my ass off at work.

I come home, I look at my torrent sites, and I download the latest eps of the tv shows I wasn't home to watch. I can now watch tv whenever I want, on my own time.

If tv shows were streaming from the studios website, not only could I give it digital ratings, but also ad revenue by having them run a commercial before i get to watch it.
