If a character doesn't synch death at same time on same level, then they are stuck
in the coma error level at the very bottom.
It's better if you just cringe for severe noise/pain and realize that it doesn't hurt.
Then you lose focus and fall up.

Really, Cobb's team just needs Fischer to invent a password to the safe where his subconscious hides his secrets.
In the Hotel, the team sleeps in room 528, and Arthur sets explosive charges beneath them in room 491
In the Hotel, when Eames, disguised as Blonde, gives a number to Fischer it has six digits: 528-491.
In the Mountain, Fischer opens the safe with the numbers 528491.

As I've looked at the names chosen by Christopher Nolan for his characters in Inception, one can't help but see the similarities between the name Robert Fischer Jr. (Cillian Murphy) and chest genius Bobby Fischer.
Black & White:
The film character is deemed "the mark" the person whom is supposed to have the inception planted.
Disconnect from Fathers:
Bobby's father story is a little unique, including later discussions and theories about whether the Father on his birth certificate is actually his true father. In the film Inception there is no doubt who the father is, although where film Robert felt isolated from his father, chess Bobby apparently did as well. Both have a strained family relationship. The ultimate goal of the inception is for him to disrupt his Father's entire life's mission by breaking a part the company and disowning his family.
Iceland:
Bobby Fischer died in exile in Iceland. The character Robert Fischer dies in the Ice/Snow dream as well.
Endgame: Rook, Bishop, Pawn
Possibly going way too far, but worth a head spinning if you're interested. Bobby Fischer's famous endgame strategy often involved a Rook (Castle), bishop, and pawns. Now, Ellen Page's character (Ariadne) used a chess piece, a Bishop, for her totem...is there any high castle and Page's assistance (Bishop) that plays a significant role in an endgame in the film? Yes, indeed.
Result:
In the movie, he desides to retire and breaks up his family's company and disowns it.
He almost controlled the planet's energy supply.
Bobby Fischer:
In real life,he desides to quit chess and break up his family as he turned Anti-American and anti-Jewish.
He almost controlled the nation's diplomacy.
