The good, the bad and the ugly

I'm really ok with this movie, the acting and epic scope are just superb, the only part that keeps bugging me is the bridge part.

I mean, what is the point? It has notting to do with the main plot, It only wastes 25 minutes of celluloid. Besides the whole drama between Union and Confederate forces is meh. This part of the movie is like a bad pokemon episode.

Anyone agree?

i agree that it doesn't really fit, but i really like that scene, it adds another layer to the relationship between the three and it reinforces the civil war backdrop.  and the character of the captain guy or whatever rank he is is one of my fave leone characters. i dont think you should see it as a waste but instead see it as more of leone to watch. it definetly would have been different without the scene.i say more leone is good, who the heck wants less leone?
