There's really no reason to watch Futurama now since...
*SPOILERS*
the "Fry" we watch now is just a clone of the original Fry that died in the crash.
If you remember correctly, the rest of the cast had their heads and original neural patterns preserved.
All that was left of him was his hair, which Farnsworth threw into the vat, and reconstituted a new fry, with reconstituted, false memories.
All the times we watched Fry, whether we were laughing or crying, wasn't the clone that we are watching now.
The series has always been pretty rigorous with time travel consistency and continuity.
The fact now is that "Fry" is a totally false, separate entity from the original Fry.
I'm going to be descheduling Futurama from my DVR.
