Great film. Great man. Historically very accurate.
If you get a chance, read Lawrence's "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" Basically a guy rides alone into the desert, builds an army, and pushes back an empire, all for the lulz.

I'll rephrase. It was consistent with Lawrence's memoir and documentation from the time. I took a class called film as history a long time ago and though you're generally right, there are many exceptions. Tora Tora Tora comes to mind, and Gettysburg. It's a tough issue, but there's lots of good accurate information out there, and we must always multisource our historical studies. So check out the flick, and if you like it check out the book. I think you'll be impressed. I saw the movie first, then read the memoir. Then when I watched the film again I saw many things presented as subtext that I had altogether missed.
