What are some really good movies that are really bizarre and frightening?  I'm talking films like Eraserhead, Begotten, etc...

Lost Highway
Watch it late at night alone with the lights off like I did, during the daytime it isn't the same.

Rabbits by Lynch is pretty god damn freaky.

Einstein's brain.
Anyone knows this documentary film?

Name: Anonymous 2005-10-15 6:43

muholland drive or however it was spelled

Dia de la Bestia (Day of the Beast).
It's not so much freaky; more occult, with some dark humor mixed in. A good watch, in any case.

I'd say I love you, but we both know, those internet relationships don't last. ;)

House of 1000 Corpses was just 90 minutes of people getting killed and mildly entertaining if you're a sadist. The first three Hellraiser movies are pretty creepy too (don't go beyond three... you've been warned).

Seconding Jacob's Ladder. Do not watch at night or you start seeing those crazyily moving heads in the shadows. Subtle weirdness like that is so much scarier than all-out OMG A ZOMBIE.

Still need to check out Session 9. Heard it was great.

Also suggesting A Tale of Two Sisters. Korean psychological horror is love.

Mulholland Dr.

I also agree with the people who have mentioned Session 9.  Yet another movie I would have never seen if not for the internet.
