Mechanical Keyboard Switches

I'm finally making the leap to mechanical keyboards and I've nailed it down to the Ducky Shine, red LEDs. I'm still on the fence about what switch to go with, however.
I'm leaning towards blue as they seem to show the most obvious change from rubber domes to mech, but is this the best choice? I play Dota 2 a lot as well as stuff like trine and some fps. I'm also a uni student so I do type a lot.

Nothing that glows. That hurts the eyes in the long run. Get something that detects gentle button presses.

I recently got the Blues as my first mech, and don't have any complaints. Love the clickyness. I'm not sure why people say they're not for gaming, they work just fine.

I have a blue cherry keyboard, it's very noisy when typing but it is very reliable and good for gaming
