Resolution

so my monitor is a 17 inch lcd, using intel integrated hd graphics....

i cannot find a suitable resolution. back on my old rig it was using an nvidia onboard graphics and 1024 x 768 looked perfectly fine.

now on this current rig 1024 x 768 looks enlarged as fuck.

1280 by 1024 looks way too fucking small.

my eyes are killing me, of all the available resolution i cannot find 1 that suits the monitor whatsoever....

I feel as though it's just the intel hd graphics itself...it's a shitty onboard gpu even for displaying text....Pictures are fine but overall texting/panning/smoothness of everything.

i am wondering what's a cheap pci card to get so as long as i won't be using that eye killer intel hd...
