Chrome on iOS

>that feel when Chrome is now on iOS

Fuck laggy and continuously crashing Safari.
Fuck Opera Mini for making you use their servers.

Finally a good mobile browser that I can rely on for 4chan.

I have a galaxy s3 and the stock music player sucks. It lists artists starting with"the"under 't' instead of ignoring it like an ipod. It also separates double albums and always puts disc 2 ahead of 1.
What's a good alternative that won't do this shit?

Buy iPhone.

Honestly, I'm not even going to try it. iPhone's are delicate in this regard. Safari is the native browser; it's like an organ within a body. The only reason why Apple even let it slide is because it would be a PR disaster if Apple rejected something Google gave to them.

It doesn't replace Safari.
Also, Apple allowed Opera so they really need to allow most/all browsers into the App Store.
And what did you mean by "Google gave to them"

It's not really Chrome, it's just a front-end to the on device Safari. It doesn't feature any of the Chrome javascript & other features, just the basic shell using the same shit as Safari underneath.

NiggerLover69 here, I guess I should give it a whirl then. I was under the impression that it was a safari replacement/substitute.

That "shit" would be Webkit, which Chrome is based off.

Chrome uses a modified version of Webkit, which uses their V8 JavaScript engine, which is why on the desktop/Android its fast. Apple makes everyone use the normal Webkit, which is why iOS Chrome is just Safari with a different UI, and some minor tweaks.

Opera Mobile or get the fuck out.

Chrome app is useful if only for cloud bookmarks.

I keep it hidden in some folder on my 3rd window just in case of that situation.

No reason not to get it if you use chrome at all on pc.

Like several posters above said, this ``Chrome'' is the Chrome browser only in UI. Under the hood, it uses the old Safari's JS engine. The new one, which JITs the scripts, is available only to MobileSafari, which makes it irreplaceable by ``alternative'' WebKit browsers from App Store.

While Apple did allow Opera Mini, they had a special reason for it: Opera Mini doesn't render HTML nor does it execute JavaScripts. Instead, that is done on Opera's servers and only the final, mostly rendered page is sent to the mobile app. Opera Mini isn't a ``real'' web browser.
All browsers on the App Store are either like that or based on UIWebView, a slower version of MobileSafari's engine. Apple still doesn't allow true alternative browsers on the App Store.
