Dead Harddrive still has a pulse...

Name: Anonymous 2012-03-14 20:22

I hope someone can help me here, I had a lot of important data on a not-so old, not-so new laptop harddrive. It started messing up and causing errors and one day when I started up my laptop it gave me the No Harddrive Detected error, I thought it was totally fucked and dead but a couple of nights ago i compulsively started to boot and reboot the laptop with the "dead" HD in it, and after like 50+ times of doing so it finally detected the HD and showed the Windows screen.  This is when things fucked up. Everything was slow as hell, it had my profile and when i finally managed to log in most of the data on the desktop looked exactly like it did before the HD crash/fuck up, so I'm grateful for that. Again, everything leading up to the login was slow, as in, it took literally about 20 minutes to type in my password. When i had logged in the speed was about the same but the fact that my data seemed to be intact is all i was interested in. Unfortunately, after about 10 mintutes of being logged in, i recieve a blue-screen error message regarding the Windows Kernal and after that it shuts itself down.  Anyone can help? The fact it still has a little bit of a pulse gives me hope i could do something to fix it a little or give it enough of a boost to transfer the HD's data. Any ideas of what I could do?

Well you could get a usb to sata adapter or external harddrive case and run Malwarebytes and MS Essentials Scans on the Drive.
